While in CA, I was able to set up at least five times in Santa Monica~ the Promenade. I had great encounters and long conversations with non-believers who truly were seeking answers about the Bible and truly considering, with different degrees, the truth of the Gospel.

I love utilizing the booth in Santa Monica CA. It is one of my favorite places to use the Booth. Most people there are willing to go beyond shallow conversations and really are not afraid to dig deep.

Thank you Calvary Chapel LAX for allowing me to share about Jesus Booth Ministries with the congregation and what is going on here in the U.S. and in Africa. It was truly a blessing!

Please continue to pray for the ministry and the future mission trips:

Sierra Leone, Togo and a few more in Africa
also…India

Pray for Sierra Leone

As you all know God has shown us a wonderful time of Grace in Sierra Leone. We have been tremendously blessed in seeing tremendous miracles and many, many people come to Christ.

Yesterday we had our first setback in Sierra Leone……..

Yesterday, a group of approximately 1000 Muslims descended on our new church building in Rookbop and burned it down.

This morning Pastor Dewey and a team on 8 others are leaving for Sierra Leone and it had been the plan for the team to travel to Rookbop and dedicate the new building. Obviously, they will not be going to Rookbop…. and they are absolutely not in any danger.

As most of you know, Rookbop is the village where the man was raised from the dead and is where we have conducted several medical clinics, drilled a water well, and of course built a new church/school for all the new believers. The villagers had asked for a church and we also had sent a new Pastor to lead the people.

The information we have is that a Iman from another area had stirred up the poeple as the news of what is going on in Rookbop has spread around the area. He had sent a smaller group to Rookbop and threatened to burn down the church, but the people of Rookbop had rejected them and told them to leave. They also contacted the authorities, because the elders had heard that others where coming back to stir up trouble.

The police sent 3 or 4 officers to assess the problem. While the police were still in Rookbop, a large group estimated to be about 1000 people, came and told them that everyone should leave the village or they would be killed. Then the mob set the church on fire and knocked down the ruins.

WE WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD.

The enemy is mad at what God is doing. This kind of thing is to be expected when we are making such great progress for the Kingdom of God.

I would ask that everyone pray. Our team is as safe as ever, but let us sincerely take time to pray for them.

Also, let’s pray for Hassan and all of our friends in Sierra Leone.

Hassan and I have discussed our response and strategy.

We are taking a humble posture. We are calling a Moritorium on all of our activities in the Rookbop area until the authorities have investigated everything and handled it amongst themselves through proper channels. We will make every attempt to stay under the radar on this and we will re-establish that we have come to “Be a Blessing”. We have not come to fight the Muslims. We have come to “Be a Blessing”. To ” Be a Blessing” will be our mantra.

I believe the people of Rookbop will stand up for Christ and for justice. I know that our best strategy at this time is that we leave it in the hands of our God.

Apparently this Iman has tried to “radicalize” the Muslims, which in the past, has not been a big problem in Sierra Leone.

I do not want this event be a rallying cry to “radicalize” Christians. We are the people of God, we are not there to bring a fight, we are there to bring the Light. We are there to establish Jesus as the Prince of Peace and the Lord of Sierra Leone and the world. Hopefully we are already “fully dedicated followers of Christ”, as Craig Groeshel, puts it and we do not need to be “radicalized”.

Pray with me and our friends of Sierra Leone. God is still in control. He will see that justice is done. The Bible says to pray for our enemies, so let us pray for those who perpetrated this terrible act and those who lead them. May they all come to know Christ and the Wonderfulness of His Grace.

Let us all pray.

Until all have heard,
